When the fighting begins over the first of the snap peas.\u00a0 Oh, there are never enough snap peas!<\/p>\n When the baseball gear starts taking over the entire house.<\/p>\n When the brooder room fills up with chicks.<\/p>\n Because they had Polish chicks at the feed store and I only have 1 Polish hen.\u00a0 Which just seems wrong.\u00a0 Someone around here should have bigger hair problems than me.<\/p>\n Plus, some turkey poults.\u00a0 Because I always wanted a pair of heritage breeding turkeys.\u00a0 Even before I saw them for sale on craigslist.\u00a0 At least I think I always wanted them.\u00a0 Probably.\u00a0 Maybe.<\/p>\n Maybe you know summer is around the corner when the temperatures are reaching 80 degrees and sheep shearing can’t be put off any longer.\u00a0 If taking some hand clippers to the sheep by yourself can actually be called “shearing.”\u00a0 Eh.<\/p>\n Guess who’s getting “sheared” next?<\/p>\n I know summer’s coming when the annual Mother’s Day fishing trip has come and gone.<\/p>\n Because who wants breakfast in bed when you can have breakfast on the pier.<\/p>\n Summer’s really close when we’re celebrating the Middle’s birthday.<\/p>\n But most of all, we know summer is almost here when it’s strawberry season.<\/p>\n Yep, the fields are open!<\/p>\n And the berries are waiting.<\/p>\n You’ll be sure to run into family and friends while picking in the rows.\u00a0 Everybody’s doing it!<\/p>\n Every year we welcome the first sweet heat of summer along with the sweet taste of fresh berries.<\/p>\n Because sometimes no matter how much things change….<\/p>\n they still stay the same.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
