{"id":11251,"date":"2014-10-17T13:52:38","date_gmt":"2014-10-17T20:52:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com\/?p=11251"},"modified":"2014-10-30T08:37:14","modified_gmt":"2014-10-30T15:37:14","slug":"not-ebola","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com\/?p=11251","title":{"rendered":"Not Ebola."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So it was Super Double Coupons at Harris Teeter.\u00a0 Which is about the only time I step foot into the Teeter.\u00a0 &#8216;Cause the Food Lion is more my economic style.\u00a0 But when Teeter is willing to double coupons up to $2.00 face value, it catches my attention.\u00a0 We don&#8217;t have a Teeter in my town so sometimes the savings isn&#8217;t worth the gas money.\u00a0 As fate would have it, though, we had dentist appointments across the street from the Teeter on the same day that the Super Doubles started.\u00a0 Of course, I knew the freebies would be picked over by the time we arrived in the late afternoon.\u00a0 Apparently, people are waiting at the doors on the morning of the sale to clean out the Super Doubles freebies.\u00a0 But by arriving at 4:30pm I would get some free items as well as a free afternoon snack for all the kids.\u00a0 The Teeter leaves out free samples of cheese, fruit, luncheon meat, and cookies everyday.\u00a0 Suckers.<\/p>\n<p>I was happy with the savings.\u00a0 We spent $31.23 and saved $84.24 in coupons.\u00a0 It was the usual assortment of items we would never buy unless they were free or under $.50.\u00a0 Like the Hormel Corned Beef Hash which Big loves for breakfast but leaves the house smelling like wet cat food at 6:30am.\u00a0 The GoGoSqueeze apple strawberry applesauce that has already been rejected in 3 out of 4 lunchboxes.\u00a0 The OIKOS Chocolate on Top Raspberry Truffle Greek yogurt which does not, disappointingly, taste like a chocolate bar.\u00a0 As well as some useful items like Lance Variety packs of snack crackers, Pepperidge Farm frozen garlic bread, McCormick cinnamon, McCormick parsley flakes, and Mueller&#8217;s pasta.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Which brings me to the entire point of this post.<\/p>\n<p>Mueller&#8217;s pasta.<\/p>\n<p>While we were picking out our free Hidden Veggie Mueller&#8217;s Spaghetti, I saw this:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/pot-sized-spaghetti.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11253\" title=\"pot-sized-spaghetti\" src=\"http:\/\/ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/pot-sized-spaghetti.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"220\" height=\"155\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I was confused.\u00a0 What was pot-sized spaghetti?\u00a0 I looked closer for the details:<\/p>\n<div>\n<h1>Pot-Sized\u2122 Pasta<\/h1>\n<p><em>You&#8217;ve waited too long for pasta this short.
