<\/a><\/p>\nWhile they’re at the art museum they will want to do something fun, so you’ll have to pass out a scavenger hunt like this one<\/a>, divide them into teams, and let them take digital pics of the art objects that they find.<\/p>\n By the time they’ve finished the scavenger hunt and taken lots of pictures….<\/p>\n ….they won’t be able to talk quietly, walk slowly, and keep from touching things for one more minute.\u00a0 So you’ll have to take them outside onto the museum greenway with outdoor sculptures where they can run, yell, and touch everything.<\/p>\n All that running, yelling, and touching will make them hungry, so you’ll have to have a picnic lunch by the pond while watching a red-tailed hawk hunt for frogs.<\/p>\n Looking at all that cool, clear water will remind the kids that it’s hot and humid outside so they’ll want to go swimming.\u00a0 You’ll take them to the community pool down the street where they will swim for so long….<\/p>\n ….that they’ll get hungry again.\u00a0 So you’ll have to drive down the street to the farmers market and pick up some sweet corn and Carolina peaches.<\/p>\n By the time you’ve sampled all the fruits and vegetables at the farmers market and decide to leave the city, you’ll find yourself struck in traffic.<\/p>\n So you’ll have to stop at Observation Park at the airport where the kids can listen to the radio traffic from air traffic control over the loudspeakers and watch the planes take off and land.<\/p>\n Watching planes flying around will remind the kids that they have been sitting still too long so they will play a rowdy game of freeze tag in the baby sandlot at the park.<\/p>\n By the time they are tired of playing tag, the traffic will be gone and you can finally head for home.\u00a0 At home, they will be so glad to be out of the city and back on the farm that they will rush out to the barn to see all the animals.\u00a0 While they are out with the animals, they will feed them dinner.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
