Operation."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Several years ago I made an awesome and easy wreath to put around a candle as a table centerpiece.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/033.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7103\" src=\"http:\/\/ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/033-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/033-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/033-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Every year in January I took the wreath off the table and hung it up in the shed for the following Christmas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Too bad that sometime over the past year, the mice discovered my wreath.\u00a0 And because they are stupid, they thought the little red berries were real.\u00a0 I know you think that is harsh and judgmental.\u00a0 But I stand by it.\u00a0 If the mice had chewed 1 or 2 berries, discussed the terrible taste amongst themselves, and then decided the berries were fake, I could handle that.\u00a0 But no.\u00a0 They chewed the berries on an entire 1\/2 of the wreath before realizing their mistake.\u00a0 WTH?<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">So I was left with a wreath where 1\/2 the berries were chewed down to expose their fake styrofoam insides.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/037.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7104\" src=\"http:\/\/ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/037-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/037-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/037-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Now anyone else would probably figure they got their use out of it and toss that wreath in the trash.\u00a0 Honestly, I considered that.\u00a0 But while I was searching through my Christmas boxes for a possible replacement table centerpiece, I stumbled upon the perfect fix.\u00a0 In a bag from Michael&#8217;s containing marked down Christmas supplies, I found some frosted pine cones.\u00a0 You know, frosted to look like they are coated with a dusting of snow.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Aha!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I stuck them in my wreath on the side of chewed berries.\u00a0 So now the whole thing looks like it&#8217;s frosted with snow.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/0391.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7105\" src=\"http:\/\/ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/0391-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Well, the whole one side of it.\u00a0 The other side is fine and looks like it did originally.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/038.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Which is OK by me.\u00a0 Because no matter what side of the dining room table you&#8217;re sitting on, you can only see one side of the wreath at a time.\u00a0 Plus, everyone knows snow can drift on just one side of an object, depending on how the wind is blowing.\u00a0 We just happen to have a southerly wind blowing in the dining room.\u00a0 That&#8217;s natural, people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Feel free to use this tip in your own household.\u00a0 I bet they still have some of those frosted pine cones at Michael&#8217;s.
