ropes and cords….<\/p>\n halters and tethers….<\/p>\n all over the house and farm.<\/p>\n ‘Cause you never know when you might need one to cross tie a naughty pony….<\/p>\n or snag a dog about to chase a chicken….<\/p>\n or keep pigs in their pen in the garden.<\/p>\n But I figured it was time to take stock.\u00a0 To organize.\u00a0 To sort things out.<\/p>\n So I picked through bins.\u00a0 Gathered from shelves.\u00a0 Checked in all the Rubbermaid tubs.<\/p>\n And came to a screeching halt at the buckets.<\/p>\n Because it was too late.\u00a0 She was already there.\u00a0 With her stolen guinea feathers and scavenged Bruno fur.<\/p>\n Yep.\u00a0 The little mad wren.\u00a0 And even though I didn’t see her this time, we’ve met before.\u00a0 Pretty much every summer, as a matter of fact.\u00a0 In the most inconvenient places.<\/p>\n This year’s location nixed my plan to gather the leashes and lead lines and extra lengths of rope.\u00a0 No chance of collecting it all to arrange and organize.<\/p>\n Guess the early bird gets the bucket.<\/p>\n Which means I’ll just have to settle for sorting through the twine from the hay rolls.\u00a0 I’ve been meaning to try some variation of this neat idea:<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
