<\/a><\/p>\nI haven’t set up heat lamps because the barns are warm, dry, and filled with hay.\u00a0 The frost proof barn hydrants are holding their own, enabling us to carry fresh water just a few feet to the barn.<\/p>\n
A pipe from an outside spigot on the deck did freeze and break under the stairs.\u00a0 But the plumber came right out to fix it and in the process of emptying out the area under the stairs we discovered an old massage chair.\u00a0 Bonus!<\/p>\n
I’m pretty sure I got this as a gift for The Other Half when he was in his 30’s.\u00a0 He never used it.\u00a0 How prescient of me to realize I would need it when I was in my 40’s.\u00a0 It will go perfectly with my massaging foot spa.\u00a0 Almost like sitting in the salon getting a pedicure.\u00a0 Except for the children running around fighting and begging to play Mario Kart.\u00a0 Eh.\u00a0 Stupid 2 hour delay.<\/p>\n I was just thinking we’d make it through the cold snap without any problems when I went down to feed the pigs.\u00a0 I had already mucked out the pig pen and filled it with fresh straw when temperatures were still in the 2o’s.\u00a0 Besides, the girls have been gorging on Hostess cupcakes and pecan rolls for the past 4 months.\u00a0 I figured they would be fine.\u00a0 And then I saw it.<\/p>\n I gasped and dropped the pig pail.<\/p>\n How could this be?!?<\/p>\n It’s so cold that the pigs lost the curl in their tails.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
